Alexandra Family Place: (Formerly
known as Baby/Busy Bees) is a drop -in for families and caregivers
with children from birth to 6 years. It's a wonderful chance for
parents and caregivers to connect with one another in a fun, safe
atmosphere. The activities and centers in the Children's House are
all planned and established to promote and support physical, cognitive,
social, and emotional development of children. The drop-in
program provides children with opportunities to explore, create,
imagine, move and PLAY. We also provide a fun interactive song and
story time during each session for parents/caregivers. It is all
about learning, growing and having fun together. Alexandra Family
Place is also an opportunity for parents/caregivers to get connected
both to peers and community resources. Guest speakers visit
monthly and provide information and support for families on a variety
of topics relating to children and families.
The program takes
place Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10-12:30 in
the Children's House at Camp Alexandra from September to the end
of May. The cost is $4 per family per visit. For more information
contact the Early Childhood Development Coordinator at 604-535-0015

Parent Child
Mother Goose:
The Parent Child Mother Goose program is a 10 week group experience
for parents and their young children focusing on the pleasure and
power of using rhymes, songs and stories together. The program focuses
on nurturing the attachment and bond that is growing between the
parent and child. The parents are supported in gaining skills and
confidence, which can enable them to create new and positive family
patterns during the early years of their children. Once a parent
and child have done a total of 30 weeks they graduate from the program
with a song kit that they can use together in their day to day lives.
For more information and registration dates contact the Early Childhood
Development Coordinator at 604-535-0015 ext 229. Next
